On 1st March, 1820, the partnership of C & E. Shaw, Stonemasons, was dissolved.

 

A Thomas Shaw was a School master in Wickersley from 1846 until his death in 1864. He helped to build a new school and school house, costing about £750. He was also a Collector of the Poor Rates, and assistant surveyor of the Highways. He was succeeded at the school by Seth Ellis in 1864
